This is the third year that I have thrown all New Year’s Resolutions out the window and replaced it with a “one word” focus. Some people choose a word to help set goals for the year. Sometimes the word chooses you. My words have always chosen me. I feel they reflected what the LORD was actively doing in my heart or wanted to teach me.
Advent is a season of waiting. Oh sweet friend, this is it. This is what we have been waiting for. The time has come. God’s plan is ripe. After hundreds of years of prophecy…then silence…
God Himself enters His own creation!
That is the miracle of Christmas. Don’t miss it. In my 35 years, my mind has finally been opened. Did you see it?
Slow down…soak it in…
One of the unexpected joys of blogging has been the online friendships I have developed! It is so neat to be a part of an online community of writers who all strive to glorify the Father through their writing. One of my peers, Katie Reid, was the first to make me feel like I belonged. We meet through Five Minute Friday. She sought me out through Twitter to be apart of her Psalms Series last spring and then again on her Open Hearts Series. She helped me find my confidence as a blogger.
Last week I had the opportunity to speak at my old MOPS group. It has been a year and a half since I was involved with this group. It warmed my heart to see so many new faces. Many of the women whom I was in MOPS with have transitioned to a new season of life like I have. To see the group strong and growing is so wonderful!
