We are trying to get back on track with our calorie counting. Two years ago I lost 32 lbs using myfitnesspal app. I gained it all back (and then some) last year so it is time to get it under control again.
With that in mind, I have been searching Pinterest for some healthy recipes (see my board here). I will take the next few weeks try out some new recipes and revisit some old ones.
January 12th-18th, 2014
Breakfast:
I will have fruit, English muffins with peanut butter, eggs, and toast, and oatmeal with fruit and nuts. I try to keep my breakfasts under 300 calories. The key for me is high protein. I always make sure I allow for 70 calories for my coffee creamer. 🙂
Lunch:
I plan on having sandwiches and salads. I am going to try this recipe for chicken salad for the moms at a playdate I am having this week.
Dinner:
Sunday: Chicken nachos/tacos
Monday: Grab something while out. Kids’ activities this evening.
Tuesday: Hamburgers with Baked Apples and Sweet Potatoes
Wednesday: New recipe for baked chicken parmesan with pasta.
Thursday: Grilled chicken, salad, and cilantro lime rice.
I don’t usually plan Friday or Saturday. We either eat leftovers or go out.
