Hope in a Broken World

My husband found me in the closet on the floor—crying.  It is not uncommon…really…if I am honest.  I can be dramatic.  This night I was spent.  One too many things had went wrong with the day.

He walked in.  And then he walked out.  Then he walked in and sat beside me in silence.(So thankful he loves me.)

Finally I said, “Everything is broken.”

What I Am Listening To {Issue 3: The Biblical Stucture of the Family}

I have really been intrigued by the debate stirred up by Candace Cameron Bure’s (yes…D.J. Tanner from Full House) comments about submission in her new book Balancing It All.  I have not read the book, but I agree with her views on marriage that has stirred all the buzz in the media about women’s rights.

Exhale: It’s Christmas

Oh Friend,

I need to exhale…decompress…slow down.  I don’t know what it is about this holiday season, but I have felt out of control.  Is it because I am juggling work for the first time in years?  Is it because I am not used to the school routine of a kindergartener?  Is it because we had a shortened timeframe between Thanksgiving and Christmas which was compounded by the snowstorm?   For heaven sake, we have yet to bake and Christmas is days away!!!
