My sweet friend, Amanda, over at Diva Designs is hosting this month’s giveaway. She is a mommy of two beautiful girls, and they are always so fashionablly dressed because their momma designs their clothes!
Amanda is offering a $25 credit to be used in her online store. You can place orders by messaging her on Facebook. Here are just a few of the items she has made. She does take custom orders.
I got an overwhelming response to our family adventure to Terra Studios, so I wanted to share with you another time when I allowed my children to dress up and explore another local attraction. Nestled in the heart of Fayetteville, AR is a lovely city park called Wilson Park . I remember visiting this park and exploring the castle in the late 90’s with my brother who was living here at the time. I also visited the park on my second date with my now husband. It is full of happy memories for me.
One day last summer, I loaded up the kids and packed several costumes in the car. I allowed them to change and have a dramatic play time on the grounds; following behind with my camera.
Every weekend my husband watches the kids, and I escape for a few hours to the Starbucks on the corner. This is the only kid-free time I get during the entire week. Each week I see some of the same people. Two older couples from my church make sure they always stop by to visit with me, and the baristas know my regular. I go to grab a latte, meal plan for the week, listen to podcasts, and read. Then I head to Wal-Mart to grocery shop BY MYSELF!
When I arrived yesterday for my reprieve from my children, the only seat open was the table right next to the bathroom. After being there for about an hour, a woman walked into the store with an upset two-year-old. She desperately headed to the bathroom. The child was SCREAMING!
One reason why I wanted to start this blog is to share the fun adventures that my family enjoys. Almost every weekend from Spring to Fall, we load up the car and go on day trips. Being a one income family, we have learned to maximize the local attractions. My friends are always amazed with how we have so much fun for cheap to free.
If you are in Northwest Arkansas, I think you will enjoy this series. Keep watching the NWA Day Trips category. Also, things like this will be tagged as #familyadventures #onabudget and #48walks.
This past weekend we took a day trip to Terra Studios which is a approximately 13 miles east of Fayetteville, AR. As a child I could only dream of such wonderment.
Friend, the things that you listen to are so important. The music. The tv. The conversations. The self-talk. They either lift you up and lead you closer to Christ, or they drag you down and further away.
Podcasts have become such a wonderful way for me to fill my mind with God’s truths. Now that I have a smart phone, I load up my favorite sermons and turn them on in the morning while I am getting ready for the day.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Friend.
Valentine’s Day is so much fun through the eyes of a child. My sweet kindergartener wrote “I love you” on every single card for her classmates. It is so sweet to see such an innocent love expressed so freely.
This is a fun way for you to get a peek into my life. If you are a blogger and you do currently posts, please share them with me. I want to see!
So currently these are the things I am…
So it all started with one status. I had grown weary of seeing complaints on Facebook about one reason or another. (I admit I am guilty too.) So I posted this:
Hundreds of bloggers link up over on Lisa-Jo Baker’s website to write on a one word prompt for five minutes. Great fun. Great stress. Great practice.
Set time for five minutes….
